Review: Without Merit

Without Merit Without Merit by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Star Read
How can I give Colleen Hover anything other than 5 Stars. Thus far she hasn't written anything that I haven't loved and "Without Merit" is no different.

Not only does she write with such emotion, she builds multi dimensional characters. In addition she never shy away from controversial or taboo topics.

In this tale, Hover bring depression to the forefront. However, she does it in a way that is not only informative but compassionate and entertaining.

This is the perfect book for teens and young adults to read. Regardless, that there is an attempted suicide involved that has a dramatic yet comical outcome. Just keep in mind, prescriptions are not placebos, this outcome was provided for a separate storyline within the book.

Review: My Stepbrother, My Lover

My Stepbrother, My Lover My Stepbrother, My Lover by Alice Ward
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Star Read
I received this as a gift from the author and in no way has it swayed my opinion.

I have enjoy every book I have read by Alice Ward so far by this has to be among my favorites from her collection. Its longer than most of her books and it spends more time developing the characters. I liked having been able to know the characters and build an emotional response to the writing.

My only disappointments was how fast each obstacle was wrapped up. I would have like their to be more to the dispute between the ex and current, definitely more to the investigation of the allegation of cheating. I definitely expected more of an emotional response from the parents given the situation.

That aside I hope to enjoy more from this author.

Review: More Boss

More Boss More Boss by Juliana Conners
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 Star Kindle Unlimited Read
Major improvement with the third installment of this series. It didn't have that copy/paste-with changes. That is except for the sex scene that involves being tied to the chair in front of the desk. It had some other similar scenes but the over all change in the tone of the book was better.

Review: Please Boss

Please Boss Please Boss by Juliana Conners
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 Star Kindle Unlimited Read
Oh, wow. More of the same... Yes, Boss, Please Boss, More Boss. It's driving me nuts. Sir or Master I get but, Boss??? It just sounds so immature. In addition, it was almost a copy of the first installment. I was extremely disappointed about that.

On a positive note, I'm ecstatic that the author made the submissive woman a strong and intelligent female.

Review: Yes Boss

Yes Boss Yes Boss by Juliana Conners
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 Star Kindle Unlimited Read
Yes, Boss. I know this was supposed to be a kinky erotic book and I am a grown ass woman but, Yes, Boss. I just found that so funny. Every time I read; Yes, Boos, Please Boss, or More Boss, I just wanted to giggle. It seemed ridiculous to me.

However, that aside I really like the book. It was another tale of a play boy getting more than he thought he needed. Finding true love in what was to be a short fling.

Review: Fraternize

Fraternize Fraternize by Rachel Van Dyken
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Star Kindle Unlimited Read
I will not lie, this installment of the players he took me on an emotional journey. Throughout most of the book I hoped that the couple from the past would reconnect. The rest of the book I hoped everyone could heal and move on, that being kindred spirits would be enough. In the end the right decision was made.

It obvious who the next book will be about. I just wonder if down the road later in the series of both couples will split and connect with one from the opposite coupling. Highly recommended read!

Can't wait for book 2 to drop on the kindle unlimited program!

Review: Bluegrass Seduction

Bluegrass Seduction Bluegrass Seduction by Alice Ward
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Star Kindle Unlimited Read
This is the first book I've read that Alice Ward has co authored with Jessica Blake. I was floored. I honestly didn't think I would enjoy a telling of blue blood society. Was I ever so wrong.

Not only was not truly centered around blue bloods but two black sheep blue bloods bonding.

It was full of cheeky and delicious moments between the love birds. The best parts was teaching the other their limitations of acceptance.

The side stories like any blue blood family was full of scandal, lies, and betrayal. I think the best is that the true cunt and asshole of the tail get what's owed to them in the end.

However, the tail ends on a cliff hanger that I never even dreamed of coming as zero hints were left throughout the entire first book.

Review: Curves For The Billionaire Demon

Curves For The Billionaire Demon Curves For The Billionaire Demon by J.S. Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Star Kindle Unlimited Read
I was luck enough to read the new extended version of this book on the box set. Even though the book turned paranormal it was fantastic!

I have never read a paranormal book with this subject text. Therefore, it was refreshingly original. I also loved the fact that I was given a HEA with an opening.

It evident that there will be more to come from this coupling, if Scott continues with a spin-off. Also, we have the Brothers and the King who still need their eternal mates.

I so hope this will lead to a spin-off. If not, I'm calling author J.S. Scott out with a begging plea..... Oh, for my sanity please continue if you haven't already. If you have, thank you so very much! Either way I love your works.

Review: The Cabin

The Cabin The Cabin by Alice Ward
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blue balls, no worries. Cat toys... issues,

5 Star Kindle Unlimited Read
Alice Ward's star is on the rise! "The Cabin" was another powerful story delivered by Ward. She dared to broach the subject of gang rape. She even went as far as explaining the victims feelings in the aftermath. Although, it was the point of this romance. It seems that more time should have been spent on the topic. As rape is not an instant get over just because there is a devastatingly hot as man involved.

I did enjoy the romance, that blunder set aside. I think my favorite part was the cat and dangling balls. I couldn't stop laughing
The story did seem to have some humor. I just didn't get the reaction of the police
Damn, he save a woman from freezing to death. WTF????
