Review: Missing Link

Missing Link Missing Link by Addison Jane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was on rollercoaster of emotions to read. In the beginning you are just stunned at what is happening that you don't have time to register the he'll that Sam will have to face. Then we are slammed forward two years into Sam's hell. For one instance of a brief second we are.lead to think things might not be bad as KC is teaching her to fight.

“I coulda had you.” He smiled at me, the bright smile of a seasoned fighter who was missing a tooth here or there and had a seriously wonky nose to match. “Yes, you could have. But you still have a lot to learn.”

That line of thinking is cut short when Sam returns home.

"I needed him to believe I was a strong woman who appreciated everything he had given me and how he looked after me. Because if I didn’t, he’d made it quite clear, on the odd occasion, how easily he could sell me on the black market. "

A short time later, during the night Sam is awoken by men yelling. This is when we first meet Lincoln. Standing toe to toe with Charlie. When Sam's eyes meet Lincoln, she immediately trusts him and feels she.must save the only man in 2 years she has ever seen stand up to Charlie.

“Throw him out the door now…” I nodded toward Lincoln, “…and I’ll let you have anything, and do anything with me that you want.”

An elaborate plan is hatched because Lincoln knows this woman. They are connected, he recognised her the moment he laid eyes on her. The only problem getting Sam on board.

“You have a life to go back to, Link. I won’t let him take your freedom, too.” His eyes shot wide open with surprise. “How long have you been here?” I frowned. I’d already been standing there too long. “You need to go. Now.”

It's not until a year later when things take a turn for the worse a year later that Sam knows she will not make it out alive if she doesn't leave. Then she remembers Lincoln offer of help.

“Link here.” Tears seeped through my tough defenses and a sob broke from my throat. “Hello?” “Save me, Link,” I croaked out between sobs. "

From here the story moves even faster and emotions burn fierce. Sam learns the connection her and Lincoln share from her past. Also, the bond she shares with Lincoln grows as Sam has.her first breath of freedom in 3 years. However, things are not rainbows and sunshine as she tries to move forward. Her relationship with her brother is questioned and it almost breaks her. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end when Charlie has finds her again. But will her strength, backbone, and love for family and freedom get her killed??

“I will never stop,” I repeated loudly, flicking my eyes up to meet his. “For the rest of my life I will never stop. I won’t stop fighting, I won’t stop trying to escape you, I won’t stop believing that there’s something better out there for me, and I won’t stop hating you with all the passion and life that I possess in my body.”

I can't.go any further without giving away the details. so many plot twists and turns are revealed in the last few chapter's, it will have you turning the pages faster and faster.

But sometimes, things are not always as they seem. The people you think you can't trust are the ones you can. Will Sam escape Charlie or will she be given to Lucas to be broken? Will Charlie die or meet or get away with everything?

Who is at the top of this sex-slave ring? What happened to Isla? Answers I can't wait for in the next installment of The Finders, Finding Rome!

Review: Blyss

Blyss Blyss by J.C. Cliff
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I nabbed the start of this series that is listed on Amazon for free. I'm not going to lie, I'm usually doubtful when a book is free on Amazon, but I have read this author before. Therefore, I knew I didn't have anything to fear. As a matter of fact, my only complaint is what can't all the books be free or part of the kindle unlimited collection. Now I have more books from this author I need to got into budget.

Warning, this book is not for everyone. If you react badly to an innocent virgin being kidnapped just weeks prior to her 21 birthday and taken to a sex slave experimental workshop. Just to be drugged into the perfect slave for the owner of said skin trade... then stay blissfully away. Because let's face it. These woman are fed a cocktail of drugs that make them not only complacent but turn them into mindless horny human fuck dolls for sick pervert males. Technically, it's rape because the woman are stolen and brainwashed into believing this is what they want.

Let's just hope Travis finds his spine before Jewels is broken. Better yet, daddy comes along side him to rain thunder down on these prices.

Here saving for books two and three!!!

Review: Crushed: A Journey Through Depression

Crushed: A Journey Through Depression Crushed: A Journey Through Depression by Linda Bjork
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just finished reading. I haven't had time to prepare my words.

It was difficult for me to read as I too suffer from depression. I could feel the rawness. The was she was cut open and laid bare her inner demons for the world to understand.

As a people we are rude, quick to judge, and assume. We never take time stop and consider someone else's journey. Some people are lucky that they never have to struggle with the mental illness of depression.

It shouldn't be the focus of if you are walking the same path or not. You will leave this book with a whole host of feelings.

UPDATE 5/16:
I can't believe I won! I'm thrilled. I have a family member that is also interested in reading for helpful insights on how to brand her idea and hopefully get a foot in the door.

On a side note, I have been waiting for this to come in the mail. I feel like a dork having just noticed it is a Kindle book. Now it's down loaded and I'm eager to get started!

ENTRY STATUS:
Can't wait to get started and add the information to my everyday routine. Fingers crossed this launches a career!

Review: Brothers Black 5: Felix the Watcher

Brothers Black 5: Felix the Watcher Brothers Black 5: Felix the Watcher by Blue Saffire
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Star Kindle Unlimited Read

Outstanding read! Blue Saffire has become one of my favorite authors for creating fictitious worlds that spin-off each other. Even better is she does it without regurgitating the same book over and over. She builds story lines that revolves around the characters and sometimes over lap. However, each book has its own unique romance and she doesn't skip on action. Moreover, she creates powerful emotions with meanings. I can't wait to read more!

**Please toggle or advance to 100% at the end of every Kindle Unlimited book so that authors are paid for their work properly. Thank you. **

UPDATE
Yes, I love this world so much that when I finally made it through my massive amounts of email and noticed new releases... I had to start from the beginning. As a woman, I love these alpha in control men that will do anything to protect their families and the women they love. But I also love these strong woman who stand beside their men, not behind!

Review: Where The Pieces Fall

Where The Pieces Fall Where The Pieces Fall by Blue Saffire
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Star Kindle Unlimited Read

This. Is. Real. Love.

This was an exceptional read. If I could, I would give it more stars.

I have a couple of friends with children with autism. There children are blessed as they are not defined by diagnosis. However, I know it is because we are in the field of social work they are defined or labeled.

This book touches the very need of human behavior. That is that we all want to be safe and loved. This is a real love, a true love. A love that sees beyond the eyes of man and into the heart of the soul.

It is a beautiful read!!
